Significant Award for Kilchoman Distillery

We are happy to announce that Kilchoman’s “Sanaig” has just been awarded the International Wine & Spirit Competition Trophy for best NAS (No Age Statement) Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This is a huge achievement for the distillery and yet another feather to add to their cap.

In addition, the “Machir Bay” has won the Best Islay Single Malt in the International Whisky Competition.

In the News: Charles Smith Named Wine Enthusiast's Winemaker of the Year

Charles Smith is Wine Enthusiast’s 2014 Wine Star Awards Winemaker of the Year

 

Charles Smith, owner and winemaker of K Vintners, Charles Smith Wines, Secco Italian Bubbles, and SIXTO has received the 2014 Wine Star Award for “Winemaker of the Year” from Wine Enthusiast, joining past winners including legendary winemakers Michel Rolland, Alvaro Palacios, and Olivier Humbrecht. Charles is the first to receive this award, not only in Washington State, but in the Pacific Northwest, and is the only person to have been named “Winemaker of the Year” by both Food & Wine (2009) and Wine Enthusiast. Charles’ wines have received a total of 66 scores of 95 points and above, and over 300 scores of 90 points above, from the leading wine publications including Wine Enthusiast, Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, etc.
